Judy Faulkner and Epic’s Opposition to HHS’s Interoperability Rule

Epic Founder and CEO Judy Faulkner made headlines last week with an email urging clients to join Epic in opposing a proposed rule from the Dept. of Health and Human Services (HHS) around information sharing. Citing privacy concerns on behalf of patients, Faulkner said she hopes to collaborate with HHS but also said Epic may sue if the final rule does not adequately address the company’s concerns.
