Chamber seeks hosts for manufacturing boot camp
Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center is working to develop the 2023 Summer Manufacturing Teacher Boot Camp. The goal is for teachers to experience regional manufacturers and develop curriculum for their classroom that directly relates to local employers. Clint Knight, director of Workforce Development at the Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development, is helping to line up employers for this camp.
The boot camp curriculum has the teachers visit six manufacturers for two to three hours on each day. This would involve a site tour, and overview of the products and or processes, and a Q&A session with the educators. The dates are June 14, 15 and 16. Two employers are needed for each day.
Please email Knight at [email protected] if you are interested in hosting one of the Summer Manufacturing Boot Camp Sessions.
