Entrepreneur Architect | Inspiring Your Everyday Success in Business, Leadership and Life

medium_42021683

One month ago, on November 12, 2012, I published a blog post introducing The 12/12/12 Project. The idea behind the 12/12/12 Project is to push through your fear of failure, make a decision final and commit to something that will literally alter your life. Something that you have been dreaming about but have always been afraid to do. It’s an opportunity to follow your passion and become what you are truly meant to be.

My challenge to you, and to myself, was to prepare a plan and commit to executing that plan on December 12, 2012. Well… that day has come. Today, is 12/12/12.

So what is my 12/12/12 Project?

Click the link below to find out. I hope you enjoy it.

Please take a moment to post a comment and tell me what you think.

The truth is: Business Intelligence should be an integral part of your operation.

Technology analyst Gartner describes Business Intelligence as including “the applications, infrastructure and tools, and best practices that enable access to and analysis of information to improve and optimize decisions and performance.”

So in practical terms, how would Business Intelligence deliver

Having a great product, an amazing team and an IQ over 120 are not sufficient for success. An entrepreneur must also possess effective social skills [1]. They must rely on these skills to form relationships with customers, suppliers, employees and venture capitalists. They have to convince people to love their product, idea and vision. They need to create an environment of collaboration in order to facilitate interaction between employees.

Founders must be the person to lead their team to success and their social skills are critical in this endeavor.

Research suggests that socially competent entrepreneurs create more effective personal relationships [2], receive more funding [3], are more financially successful [1] and have more successful companies [4] than entrepreneurs who lack effective social skills.

Social competence is therefore a key differentiating factor between the success and failure of an entrepreneur and his venture.

The 5 factors that underlie social competence in

60 Entrepreneurs Share Best Business Advice & Success Tips

As an entrepreneur, I’ve painstakingly learned the importance of heeding the best business advice I’ve received from many of the world’s top entrepreneurs. The bottom line: It takes a lot to start a business and grow it to profitability. Funny enough, the most impactful lessons have come from my biggest failures though.

All in all, despite receiving great business advice and success tips back during my college days, I’ve gone on to learn more about how not to start a business through my experiences. Still, my early failures haven’t stopped me in learning from my mistakes and moving on to become gainfully self-employed.

Over the past five years, I’ve gone from learning how to start a blog and growing it to more than 500,000 monthly readers. I’ve launched online courses, started a profitable freelance business, built physical products and more.

I grew my side business to over six figures in
