Palm Beach State College offers two Business Administration degree tracks and several College Credit Certificates

Palm Beach State College offers two Business Administration degree tracks and several
College Credit Certificates which articulate into the degree programs.

Degree Programs

Business Administration & Management A.S. degree
This degree is designed for the student who seeks a broad background in business and
is interested in transferring to a university to pursue a B.S. degree in Business.
Program content includes management, supervision, human relations, marketing and business
communications. The program is 64 credit hours. This is an A.S. to B.S. transfer program
that comprises all of the requirements to transfer to a B.S. program at any of the
Florida universities. There are four concentrations:

Business Entrepreneurship A.S. degree
This A.S. program is designed for the person who has the vision, strategy, and discipline
to start a business venture but lacks the business expertise and skills to make it
a success. It would also be helpful for those looking to manage a small business,
those already in business seeking to expand or diversify, or those considering self-employment
for the first time. In addition to preparing students to start their own businesses
and become entrepreneurs, this program articulates into Palm Beach State’s Bachelor
of Applied Science degree program.

 

College Credit Certificates

Banking Specialist – Financial Services College Credit Certificate (6117)
This program is well-suited for individuals who are currently employed in the banking
industry or for those who would like to pursue a career in the banking field.  The
Banking Specialist College Credit Certificate program provides students with both
general knowledge and specific competencies that establish a foundation for a successful
financial services career.  The program is 12 credit hours, which transfer directly
into the Associate in Science degree in Business Administration and Management.

Business Administration and Management College Credit Certificate (6111)
This college credit certificate program is designed to prepare students for the operation
of a small business. Students will become proficient in the planning, organizing,
directing and controlling of a business including organizational and human aspects. The
program is 24 credit hours which transfer directly into the Associate in Science degree
in Business Administration and Management.

Business Operations College Credit Certificate (6481)
This program is designed to prepare the student for mid-management positions in a
variety of business environments or to provide supplemental training for persons previously
or currently employed in management occupations. The program is 18 credit hours which
transfer directly into the Business Administration & Management College Credit Certificate
and the Associate in Science degree in Business Administration and Management.

Business Specialist College Credit Certificate (6480)
This program is designed to prepare the student for mid-management positions in a
variety of business environments or to provide supplemental training for persons previously
or currently employed in management occupations. The program is 12 credit hours which
transfer directly into the Business Operations and the Business Administration and
Management College Credit Certificates and the Associate in Science degree in Business
Administration and Management.

Entrepreneurship College Credit Certificate (6118)
This college credit certificate program is designed for the person who has the vision,
strategy and discipline to start a business venture but lacks the business expertise
and skills to make it a success. It would also be helpful for those already in business
seeking to expand or diversify or those considering self-employment for the first
time. The program is 12 credit hours which transfer directly into the Associate in
Science degree in Business Entrepreneurship.

Marketing College Credit Certificate (6113)
This college credit certificate is designed to prepare the student for entry level
employment in the marketing field. This credit program will prepare the student for
employment as a marketing, advertising or public relations specialist. Course content
includes marketing, human relations, advertising, personal selling and small business
management. The program is 24 credit hours which transfer directly into the Associate
in Science degree in Business Administration and Management.
